P52 Week 5 02/06/2011

My puppy dog Mac. I remember when I had them for 1 year and I thought to myself, I have to stop calling them puppies, they're all grown up and potty trained. They are big dogs now but I still call them puppies. This evil puppy happen to be snoozing on CoCo's bed. He is bad. He knows he is bad. He does not care he is bad. CoCo get a special soft bed because of her arthritis but he has always tried to get her bed his whole evil live! He's my favorite boy!

P52 Week 4 01-30-2011

How evil are they? It is hard to believe with those sweet little faces they can be a royal pain! OK, aside from that, this is an AWESOME picture if I do say so myself. I saw this light while walking and went and got my stuff and set up this shot. The fact I could get them to be this cooperative should get me some sort of prize. They has just eaten and were in a slight food coma. I capture all their personalities.

P52 Week 3 01/22/2011

I have really started taking "Uncomplicating My Life" to another level. To get things under control I wanted to start getting rid of some things in my life. I thought I would start with my office closet. Books, oh how I love books. I love the feel of books, the smell and the look of books. I love holding and flipping through the pages of a book and excitedly anticipating what I might read or remembering how great this book was the last time I read it. However, I have not touched these books in at least 4 years or more, so I decided to box them up and get them ready to go out of the house to a better home.

I am in complete agony and I am not sure I can let them go. I am obsessed and drawn to them for some reason. I remember reading, Hawthorn's, Scarlett Letter, for the very first time not believing it was until college I read something this great. I remember how changed I was by, Bernhard Schlink's, The Reader, and how amazed I was I have never considered some of those ideas before. I am not really a poetry fan, and labored through John Dunne and Sylvia Plath but enjoyed reading Dickerson, and sitting in class and discussing and analyzing what each line might mean. What was the author trying to convey? What about James Joyce, I can say I did not enjoy my Irish Lit Class, what was I thinking, but I have been glad many times that I knew what people were talking about when I heard the Joyce or Dubliners. The knowledge made me feel sort of smart. Romeo, Romeo where for art thou Romeo, cried Juliet in Shakespear's, Romeo and Juliet how often have I thought, " Hateful to me as the gates of Hades, is the man who hides one thing in his heart and speaks another," from Iliad and the Oddessy.

I fell in love with Susan Glaspell and the Southern Literature of Eudora Welty, Flannery O'Conner and William Faulkner's, "As I Lay Dying." I love that book it is narrated by a dead lady. Tell me that's not funny. Oh, how I miss Susan Glaspell's "Jury of Her Peers" and "Trifles." I may re-read them all again!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I am not sure I can let them go!

P52 Week 3 01/18/2011

This week is about friends and I took a minute to reflect and remember how thankful I am to have very special people in my life. It was not too long ago one was very sick and I was very worried. I have this quote taped to my computer:
There comes a time in life when you realize
who matters
who never did
who won't anymore
and who always will
I have some great friends.

Project 52 - 01-07-2011 Week 2

P52 is sort of a memoir of 2011. Some pics may not be technically correct or win any prizes but they are about the memories that made it fun! This next picture is just that. So, I am have gotten my computer back and had not had time to change the background. Plus, I am super vigiliant about my office. I do not like anyone to be in it at all without me. Imagine my suprise when I logged on to find this on my screen. Each weather widget is places unique and special to me and the note --------freaky. So, at 8:00 am I freaked out assuming my computer had been hacked. I called my poor computer guy at 8:00 am. He assumed me someone had been in the house this was beyond outside hacking. I never suspected Mike he claims not to be tech savvy. The computer guys started to suggest I call the police. Who could get by the puppies I thought? So after about 20 minutes he convince me to ask Mike. I have been punked by my own husband. He meant it as a sweet gesture and I freaked out. The four question marks represent the 4 letters in his name. I can see how that makes sense!

Project 52 -01-01-2011 Week 1

I started the year off with this photo to honor my best friend's nephew that was born into heaven on September 4, 2009. Each year we light a candle to remember this precious little boy, Uriah.
